Fresher’s Party 2019-2020

“Freshers Party” in any college is an event which every student eagerly awaits from their time of admission. The 6^thof December was a memorable day in the life of every fresher of 1^st year BLS. LL. B and LL.B Batch 2019-2020 at Oriental College of Law.

The Freshers Day was filled with excitement, joy, music, enthusiasm, laughter and happiness. The Dress code for the party was “RETRO BOLLYWOOD”.

The Chief Guest for the event was Dr. Mrs. Sangita Nath, Vice-Principal, Oriental College of Education, Adv Nilesh Bagade, High Court, Mumbai. The guests were given floral welcome by Dr. P. Y. Gaonkar, Principal, and Mrs. Rupali Jamode, Vice-Principal Oriental College of Law.

The Event started with the Competition of Mr & Miss ORIENTAL College of Law. The first round was of ramp walk and introduction of the freshers. The second round of performance included show games for the contestant ending to final round with Judges Round.

The Anchors for the Celebration were students Ms. Afreen Khan and Mr. Omkar Maitreya.

Indeed, with this the freshers were welcomed by the Oriental College of Law by organising Freshers Party for the Freshers on 20th February, 2019. The freshers were welcomed with great enthusiasm and love. The freshers party had several events such as one-minute games, self-introduction of the freshers, dance and most importantly the Mr and Ms Freshers of Oriental College of Law. The Mr. Fresher was Jaydrath Mothwani (1st year BLS. LL.B) and Ms. Fresher was Adhishree Patil (1st year LL.B).

The Freshers were given good wishes for the start to their career in law,

Fresher’s Party – 2017 (A.Y. 17-18)

Oriental College of Law had organized Fresher’s Party on 22nd December 2017 for welcoming the Students of First Year with assistance of Senior Students of the College. Asst. Prof. Miss. Anuja Rane along with other faculty members worked for making this fresher’s party successful. The party was hosted by Ms. Saleena Shaikh ( BLS-LLB 3rd year) and Ms. Eram Shaikh ( LLB 2nd year).

During party various competitions were organised and panel of Judges comprising of Asst. Prof. Mrs. Ravnish Bector, Asst. Prof. Mrs. Rupali Jamode, Asst. Prof. Mrs. Runjhun Srivastava selected the successful winners amongst the contestants. The event of Mr. and Ms. Fresher was based on the introduction given, ramp walk, talent round and winners were as follows :

Ms. Fresher (Three Years LL.B.) : Ms. Shrishti Chauhan
Mr. Fresher (Five Years LL.B.) : Mr. Omkar Maitreya
Ms. Fresher (Five Years LL.B.) : Ms. Neha Mishra

The Best costume prize was also given. The Best costume (Female) was Ms. Ayushi Gami (Five Years LL.B.) and Best costume (Male) was Mr. Venkatesh Mishra (Three Years LL.B.)

All the winners were coroneted by the Dr. Mrs. Shitala Gavand, Principal, Oriental College of Law and it was a great moment for all the winners.

After this, the seniors had arranged the cake cutting ceremony, where the cake was cut by all the winners of the event.

During the programme the few senior students share their experiences in this college and also fresher narrated their experiences so far and also expressed their expectations from the college. At the end DJ party was organised for the fresher’s where all danced on music. In this party delicious lunch was also arranged for all. Overall the event was a grant success and a happy moment for OCL family.
